Abnorml Posted September 30, 2022 #1 Posted September 30, 2022 On an 83 venture, the bar that runs from the front to rear of the frame, low across the motor, one on each side. Are these structural parts or just to hold fairing parts in place. My bike doesn't have the fairings any longer and if not needed structurally I'd like to remove them. The fairings were just too boogered up to save. I plan on running this without the fairings. Thanks in advance
Marcarl Posted October 1, 2022 #2 Posted October 1, 2022 Me thinks they are just there because they have to be and hold the pieces in place. 2 bars, upper and lower hold the bike together along with the engine which is part of the whole integral piece. FYI, check the bolts holding the right side lower frame member to the main frame to make sure they are tight.
