Hello Venture Riders.

My riding buddy and I made a trip to the Smoky Mountains last week and had a wonderful time riding the mountain roads.  Due to our older age, we were only able to put 1250 miles on the bikes.

Thankfully we had some wonderful warm weather most of the week.  A rainstorm blew in Thursday afternoon that caused the temperature to drop Thursday night for a very cool ride home Friday.  We left N. Carolina in a misty 45 degree morning and made it to Kentucky that evening with it only 65.

I'm hoping the weather will hold so the wife and I can make a trip up the Blue Ridge Parkway next week.  I would like to get one more good trip in before the cold sets in.

Great area to ride, had a good time in Asheville last month. We’re planning a ride next week, waiting to see what the weather looks like before we pick a direction. Wanted to go to Alabama and Florida to see the kids but Ian may mess that up.

Sounds like a nice ride up in the mountains.  I am hoping that we don't get too much on the remnants of Hurricane Ian this coming weekend.

Good time to visit, In the next few weeks it will be too crowded with leaf lookers.

Hey I resemble that remark. We will be heading up the week of 8th. We stay east of Highlands with a friend.

I did it late October last year and everything was still green, a week after I left people were posting all the great colors in the area.  Hopefully IAN will not blow all the leaves off.
