RDawson Posted September 12, 2022 #1 Posted September 12, 2022 I found a 96 Timeout Dart trailer locally, looks to be in good shape other than the cooler cover, lid shocks, and tires. I know they are the cheapest Time-out made but I really like the looks of it. My concern is the rubber in the torsion axles. We know rubber breaks down with age but has anyone dealt with it in an axle? Parts and labor to replace the axle stubs isn’t cheap. He’s high on the price right now so I may be wasting my time thinking about it. I have a HF trailer that meets our needs but I do like the shape of this one.
Freebird Posted September 12, 2022 #2 Posted September 12, 2022 I don't know the trailer you are talking about and have never changed a torsion bushing. I just did a search though and the bushing seem to be cheap and I looked at some YouTube videos and installation appears pretty simple. BUT.....like I said....I'm not familiar with that trailer.
RDawson Posted September 12, 2022 Author #3 Posted September 12, 2022 These have the independent torsion axle stubs, not rebuildable in my understanding. Cut em off and replace them. No torsion bar or bushings. 1
Red Ryder Posted September 14, 2022 #4 Posted September 14, 2022 Nice looking timeout. I have a 96 Timeout Deluxe, truly enjoy camping with it.
RDawson Posted September 14, 2022 Author #5 Posted September 14, 2022 That one is a cargo, I’m not into the camping thing. He’s way too high on it. I may have a Hannigan bought.
Motorcycle Mike Posted September 15, 2022 #7 Posted September 15, 2022 I have an Aluma MCT I'm no longer using. I looks like this one without the piece in front of and behind the fender.
