What have I got here?

So I bought this off Ebay a while back and finally got around to looking at it......in the meantime I scored another 1st Gen. centre stand and have it mounted on my 09 RSV. The stand itself on this one looks similar to what I have mounted but the spring is different and there is another curved metal piece that I don't have on mine. The original Ebay advertisement says its from a 1983 Yamaha Venture Royale.....did they change sometime after 1983?

I have no use for this now and will be looking to sell it but I just want to be able to accurately describe what it is and what it fits.

All the first gen stands included that piece.  A lot of used ones just don’t come with it.  You don’t need it on the RSV the way I did them.
