I may get shot for this but: Tires for GL1800 2ND Gen?

While at Asheville a certain new Harley owner pointed out I need tires, after looking at prices I have sticker shock. I am afraid to ask but, which tires and where to buy?

OIl is easy, I just use Crisco,

There's a liquid crisco  Wish somebody told me.  Having to warm it up or spoon it in is a real PITA.

If you use the solid type it won't leak so bad when it's sitting,,, at least so I have heard. And @saddlebum all you need to do to get it in the crankcase is to warm it up.

On the tire question? May I suggest you get a round one with some tread left on it? It would be helpful if it held air as well I suppose.

How about jello? Pump it in while still in its liquid form then let sit in the fridge overnight ti solidify. Best done when the missus is away for a couple days

Air pressure too low maybe.

Possibility thought I had been good about checking pressure, I have been using the same tire gauge for about 10 years. Maybe I should check it against another one.

Update on tires, I went ahead and bought the round ones, I was kind of disappointed they did not come pre-mounted and filled with air but I will take care of that tomorrow.
