Frontend for sidecar

I put a side car on my 2000 Venture a few years back.  I was planing on removing the sidecar and go back to ridding on two.  However, age is catching up and I might need to stay with three wheels.  I did not modify the front end.  

I need some insight.  I have been told that if I modify the front it will be like power steering?   Would appreciate any insight, what to do, etc.
