What Steve said! I also tend to look at the buy sell here before going to Partzilla. If it's something Earl might have, I contact him first.

I recently looked for the R hand cruise control switch replacement new.  checked 5 different parts places, with nada zilch results. Told to go to Yamaha.  Yamaha said only one new, and it's in Japan.  ???

Most of the switches can be easily repaired. Sometimes(most times?) they just need cleaned. Just be very careful when disassembling them. They have a tendency to throw tiny springs and ball bearings around. A good practice is to work on them inside a plastic bag.

If you use a site to find part numbers you can order off Boats.net for ANY yamaha part, not just boating.  I found this out by having Yamaha jet skis and a small outboard, tried a Motorcycle part number when placing another order and whalla!
