Hurley Byrd Posted June 2, 2022 #1 Posted June 2, 2022 I make my living selling on eBay..... and I know its ins and outs better than most...... and doing so allowed me to score a mint condition rear shock for $27.00. I bought this unit hoping to learning how to open them up for rebuild. I will now pull my blown out shock off and put this nice looking unit on instead. I'll still cut my old one apart to see what's what..... if anyone knows how to open these... let me know. I have a machine shop and more tools than a man should have. 2
luvmy40 Posted June 3, 2022 #3 Posted June 3, 2022 Great score! No need to cut up your "Blown" shock. It's probably just a bad O-Ring. Dfitzbiz rebuilds them at a very good price and will even talk you through doing it yourself. 1
Freebird Posted June 3, 2022 #4 Posted June 3, 2022 Luvmy40 is correct of course. You can't take them apart without destroying them but it is typically just the o-ring and doesn't require disassembly. 1
hank Posted August 16, 2022 #5 Posted August 16, 2022 sweet...did you get your old one rebuilt yet? 1
