Battery warning light

I tried the mod to stop the battery warning light from flashing. I added a 1k resistor from the white with red stripe at the connection to the factory resistor to the battery sensor but the warning light still flashes for battery. I tried a 2k and a 2.2k and a 3.3 in place of the 1k resistor at different times but the light still flashes. It’s a 1984 venture royale any suggestion??

If you still have the factory resistor, just use it. Hook the wire to the positive post. Do not hook up without any resistor.
