sleepy2 Posted December 15, 2021 #26 Posted December 15, 2021 Got Phantom's side of garage(when I'm not using) cleared out so she can park car in it but didn't tell her SO when she got up 4am to get ready to go to work she couldn't see her car to remote start to warm up.She checked outside down side of house and lane-way but thought it was gone! Instead of checking garage se woke me up and said car was gone! I asked her twice if she checked garage but she finally said no and went to check. When she come home at lunch she asked why!!!! I said I thought I would be a good husband and let her use the garage and she said why now it is still fine out and your welcome!and why didn't I tell her. I said it was a surprise! I guess she didn't get it as well as all her fellow workers who asked her why I did it without telling her. So when she got home my lawn tractor and snow blower were back in that side. Then she asked if she lost it and of course I said yes if you don't want it I would use it! She said she would use it when it gets more bad weather ! Just tried to be a good husband and share!!!! 1
N3FOL Posted December 15, 2021 Author #27 Posted December 15, 2021 @sleepy2 We all know...Happy Wife = Happy Life.
N3FOL Posted December 15, 2021 Author #28 Posted December 15, 2021 Rode the SVTC to and from work at 32° - the heat came in handy and it was a very nice ride for a 50 mile round trip. It gets dark really fast in the afternoon and some drivers just don't know how to pay attention to traffic. A car simply cut in front of me from the left intersection and thankfully I recognized her that she was going to go so I had to hit my brakes stronger than normal. It was a close call, but accident averted. Be careful out there and enjoy the ride. 1

sleepy2 Posted December 16, 2021 #30 Posted December 16, 2021 @N3FOLI also have had same instance happen lately with bike and truck . LOTS of people also driving with daylight lights only(NO rear lights) don't know if they are lazy or stupid! Around here it is supposed to be against law as far as I know but see it all the time. I always ride with high-beam on during the day to hopefully be seen easier! Doesn't always work as I still get people pulling out in front of me! Haven't got out yesterday or today as there are very high winds blowing but hopefully again before snow comes!
N3FOL Posted December 17, 2021 Author #31 Posted December 17, 2021 Be safe out there @sleepy2, when you get the chance to ride especially now that we are already in the midst of the Holiday Season. Stay vigilant at all times. Ride safe.

So your clearing the snow so you can cut the lawn and I thought my neighbor was a lawn fanatic
ChiefGunner Posted December 20, 2021 #34 Posted December 20, 2021 Well, the other day it was 72 here in NC. I got a chance to meet up with another local venture owner for a short meet n eat ride. He’s only 1/2hr away so we will definitely be getting together for more rides. 2
sleepy2 Posted December 20, 2021 #35 Posted December 20, 2021 @saddlebumAs I have said before the lawn tractors are not used for lawn cutting as there are no decks and one was modified 15 years ago to plow backwards with a 40" blade and the latest one has been modified to hold a 40" Berco snow blower. Both of these are only built to cut lawn not what I use them for! Will post pics when I get them down loaded!! Just got back from a ride(1 1/2hr) to warm up bike so I can see if mods done to my bike dolly are done right. Had to make it alot longer so bike can fit. Had to have supper so haven't had a chance to check yet.
bpate4home Posted December 21, 2021 #36 Posted December 21, 2021 39 degrees when I left the house this morning. 41 when I got to the office. Love the heated seat and grips. 1
N3FOL Posted December 28, 2021 Author #37 Posted December 28, 2021 We had a few flurries yesterday and then off and on rain for the the next 3 days. ❄️😟. I am hoping the weather will improve. For the meantime, RSV and SVTC will need to be plugged in. 😉 IMG_0152.MOV
sleepy2 Posted December 28, 2021 #38 Posted December 28, 2021 Rode day before and after Christmas as temp. was a balmy 1deg cel. Snowed couple hours after I came home day before and melted over Christmas day and cleared up day after. 1
bpate4home Posted December 29, 2021 #39 Posted December 29, 2021 Last week we were in the upper 30's when I left for work. The last couple of days the lower 70's in the morning. Next week would could see the upper 20's. Still love SE Texas though. It's not 20 below or a bunch of snow. 1
sleepy2 Posted January 1, 2022 #40 Posted January 1, 2022 Did my FIRST ride of 2022 today ! Took pictures of both tractors I use for snow to show @saddlebum . 1
larrydr Posted January 2, 2022 #41 Posted January 2, 2022 To me time to ride is when the roads are clear and the snow is not blowing ...Calm clear weather and no colder than minus 5 degrees
sleepy2 Posted January 2, 2022 #42 Posted January 2, 2022 Also here are pictures of bike dolly I got from Princess Auto. Had to modify it so bike would fit. Had to lengthen 6" and kickstand tray out 3". A lot easier to move around the garage. Can move right over to shelving and also move to edge of garage to go for ride. Have had this for a few years but am glad I finally got around to adapt and use.Much easier than wiggling back and forth and holding bike up. 1

Nice I love it. Here is what I built to move snow. And the blade with 4x4 draw bar removed is light enough to carry under one arm or toss up on the rafters for the summer. I can angle the blade behind the truck are out past either side of the truck or even turn it completely around to push the snow rather than pull. The whole thing only takes fifteen minutes to mount to my trailer hitch. It worked so well the first year that the driveway hardly got any snow the last two years I didn't even have to use it. N3FOL Posted January 2, 2022 Author #44 Posted January 2, 2022 About half an inch of snow is expected to arrive early Monday morning, but only up to half an inch. Hoping for less and I hope the snow crew doesn’t go crazy on the salt. That is the bad news. Towards the end of the week is looking a little better. Looking forward to at least log in my first ride of 2022 soon.
RDawson Posted January 2, 2022 #45 Posted January 2, 2022 74* New Year’s Day with 3” of rain. Woke up this morning to 28* and snow/ice falling fast. No new year rides here. 1
N3FOL Posted January 5, 2022 Author #46 Posted January 5, 2022 I thought we were going to get a lot of snow ❄️ a couple of days ago, but it totally missed my area. Virginia, D.C. and south of Baltimore got the brunt of the storm. Now I am waiting for the rain clouds to come, because the snow crew dropped lots of rock salt along my route but the snow never came. 😟. It might be looking good next week.
N3FOL Posted January 7, 2022 Author #47 Posted January 7, 2022 This is not my preferred weather, but I remain patient. 😏
