jdross440 Posted November 11, 2021 #1 Posted November 11, 2021 Where is the second fuse box that holds the Hazard fuse? I found the one on top of the battery, but it only has 5 fuses. I need to find the other fuses.
jdross440 Posted November 11, 2021 Author #2 Posted November 11, 2021 I found it. Buried beneath the other box forward of the battery covered with some wiring. 1
saddlebum Posted November 12, 2021 #3 Posted November 12, 2021 If your bike still has the glass fusses I recommend updating to the blade type fuse. 2
Pasta Burner Posted November 12, 2021 #4 Posted November 12, 2021 (edited) Somebody made a kit for the blade conversion, but I couldn’t find the thread when I searched a few weeks ago. Any ideas? Thinking about doing this in the cold season. Also want to consolidate all the fuses into one box rather than searching through the wiring harness as @jdross440 just did. cimmer Posted November 13, 2021 #5 Posted November 13, 2021 Earl, aka Skydoc_17 has a replacement fuse box he sells or at least did. Check out this link. https://www.venturerider.org/forum/topic/63155-first-gen-vr-1983-to-1993-fuse-box-upgrade-kit/#comment-800670 Hope this helps you out. Rick F 1

DonnyRudeDude Posted November 20, 2021 #10 Posted November 20, 2021 I just bought mine from Earl. Waiting for it to arrive here in Canada, Mark

Waiting for it to arrive here in Canada, Mark Definitely a great option and would highly recommend Earls kits. The only issue for Canadians is shipping, customs and exchange rate can drive the price up for Canadians. I picked my fuse block up from NAPA for just under $6.00 plus tax. I have since seen a various assortment of them at Princess Auto, Amazon and In marine stores for $20.00 0r less depending on style and number of fuse sockets. Edited November 20, 2021 by saddlebum

Not in my local auto parts stores, not in Harbor Freight, not on eBay, and not on Amazon. I'd love to find one.

I've been searching for "crepe pan" this entire time. No wonder I haven't found a 6 or 8 position, inline, mini-ATM fuse block yet! Ah, just kiddin'. I haven't looked in months. Ran another eBay search and one popped: https://www.ebay.com/itm/282415704870?hash=item41c149ab26:g:doAAAOSwnGldPLiT What I'd really like is a square, 10-way micro ATT fuse block. (I have a few extra circuits added with standalone fuse holders along with the cruise fuse that I'd like to consolidate). Barring that, I might settle for a low profile ATC/ATO fuse holder with posts I can use as commons. Maybe find one of these in a 10-way. Or fit in a 6-way and 4-way. The second two won't work since they aren't inline fuses on the positive wire. They have common positive and negative supply terminals. That first one, however, looks nice, but I suspect it would be too long.
