I picked up my 06 and I have a question about the choke. Should the choke stayed pulled out when you let it go? When I release mine it goes back in, every other choke I have had to push back in. It’s kind of a pain to have to hold it out to warm it up.

Not sure what the norm is. Mine wants to pull back but if I hold it out for a few seconds, it usually stays engaged until I touch the throttle.

Not sure what's causing yours to go back in but it's not normal.  Pulling it out should stay out until you decide to push it back in.

If memory serves me correct there is some kind of setup to prevent it from going back in on it's own. There might be an adjustment available there. Or somebody decided to lube it and overcome the idea. I do know that most if not all the 2nd gens I've seen have the choke stay out until pushed back in.

Agreed. Should stay out. Wonder if someone replaced the spring with a heavier one thinking it should pop back in?

Maybe that someone added a heavier spring so the choke would self cancel because they had a tendency to accidentally leave the choke on, only realizing it many miles later.

Don't ask....:hurts:

My ‘07 choke stays out and it must stay out until it is time to push it back in after a brief engine warm up.   As mentioned before, previous owner must have done something with the adjustment.
