Danny boy 1 Posted September 20, 2021 #1 Posted September 20, 2021 Using Dot 4 brake fluid and I'm trying to bleed the clutch fluid system, any ideas would be helpful thanks. And by the way I am new to the group thanks to everyone.
SpencerPJ Posted September 20, 2021 #2 Posted September 20, 2021 If it is a first gen, I have had great luck tieing the clutch lever with a rope, and letting it sit overnight. Seems the air works up to the top. Maybe one squeeze and loosen the banjo bolt at the top. 2
Squidley Posted September 20, 2021 #3 Posted September 20, 2021 I've also had success with getting a big horse syringe, a clear tube and force fluid from the bleeder up.into the master cylinder (which will need to be empty). Make sure to have all your painted surfaces covered incase on any spillage. 1

Unless of course you planned on repainting the bike anyway and needed to strip off the existing paint. Just say'n BTW back bleeding with a syringe or pressure bottle is my 1st choice as well. Have tried using a washer pump like I use on the big rigs but it is way too fast and turns the open master into a mini fountain. Pretty but messy Edited November 2, 2021 by saddlebum
