There's not much difference with just the G2 bars but there's no reason I know of why you couldn't use the risers and the G2 bar. Just so long as they don't hit your legs or the tank or anything. Also you would probably need to replace all you hoses and cables. I'm not sure if the wiring would be long enough or not either.

I like the Flanders. I put them on and they made a real difference in comfort. I didnt need to roll my shoulders forward. Do them. As for the risers if you just use them expect the fairing to flex a little and rattle. There is a pair of rubber blocks that sit between the handle bar and plastic of the inner fairing to keep this from happeneing and you will need to remove these to use the risers. Besides the fact the risers look ugly and bolted on.

I switched to Flanders bars after I bent my stock bars in the "great fall" of November. I had been using the Baron's 1 1/2 inch risers but they just did not get the grips back far enough to suit me. Also the risers made the fairing rattle like crazy cause I didn't move the rubber blocks.

The downside is the price. I went with the entire package of bars, braided hydraulic lines and new throttle cables. It was pricey, but I love the new ride.

Good luck with your choice.

I just did a fourteen hour ride with the flanders bars, they made a very big difference, I was much more comfortable.
