larrydr Posted July 24, 2021 #1 Posted July 24, 2021 On June 24 I received my first dose The needle went in and about 40 seconds latter my head went numb and I lost control .. Next thing I know is someone grabbing my shoulder and asking me are you okay , all I could say was maybe soon . My left arm made some erratic movements for 4 days , my doctor has ordered a whole bunch of tests .. They are thinking that it may have been a stoke caused by the injection , I have not been the same since .. The doctors put me on the non injection list Unfortunate because I wanted both Vaccine 1 and second dose

Not to be unsympathetic, but you would not be the first to pass out for a needle. Some before they even get poked and With all the fear mongering around these vaccines I would actually not be surprised if more people passed out even ones who normally have no aversion to needles as a rule. My wife had upper body pain that lasted 4 days and had her in tears with the 1st shot but had no reaction to the second shot and my neighbor could not get out of bed the next day after the 1st shot, He does admit he is squeamish when it comes to needles but he was fine with his 2nd shot. Either way it is a good idea to check with your doctor and make sure as to why it happened. I am no doctor but I was one of those people in my younger days that would start to get light headed and almost pass out at just the thought of a needle. When I was 15, I had to give a shot to pregnant dog to help her go into labor. Three seconds after giving her the shot I passed out. This is why I am just wondering if the passing out that quickly after the shot could have been a mental response to the needle, , while the pain in the shoulder could have been a separate but normal reaction to the shot like my wife and many others had. Hopefully that is all it was and not an indication of some more serious underlying issue triggered by the shot. Edited July 24, 2021 by saddlebum
Marcarl Posted July 24, 2021 #3 Posted July 24, 2021 OOOoooo that's scary. But like has been mentioned many times, any shot is not without risks or side effects. Glad for you that things are looking better at this point and that you didn't suffer worse. Thing is,,,, now what.... do you or don't you?
BlueSky Posted July 24, 2021 #4 Posted July 24, 2021 Really sorry you had problems with the covid shot. Hope you recover quickly and completely. Which shot was it?

I am fine with injections..What needs to be done in the Vaccination field is an investigation into current medications being taken and possible side effects and interactions ...There have been 8 cases of serious side effects from the Covid .. vaccination here and it is the best kept secret here no one wants to talk about because of the media telling us that we have to have this vaccination ...I get 14 injections ( needles are 5 inches long , I am wide awake ) in my abdomen every 3 months and some in my spine ...I had Liver cancer in 2010 , they had to remove my liver and take a piece off it and then put it back in ...I have had 10 Surgery in 11 years , and one that went very bad...I have had so many injections I have lost count ..I am going for 14 more injections on July 28th ...They are going to install a heart monitor / pacemaker on august 24th

There needs to be an investigation done on side effects and interaction before anyone gets Vaccinated ...I had a bad fall in 1978 , I fell 20 feet to a concrete floor , fractured skull in 5 places and pins installed and I am on a drug called Dilantin for Seizures ..... I had a relapse last night and not doing well now , I did not want to taken to the hospital and will try make it on my own

sleepy2 Posted July 24, 2021 #11 Posted July 24, 2021 Phantom and I got our second shot of Pfizer yesterday. she had no problems with either shot. I barely felt first needle and just had the feeling of it for a few days. This second shot feels like someone punched me in the arm every time I move it but not anything else. Guy up the street said his friend broke out all over with painful rash for 4 days. Couldn't even wear a shirt. He could wear a light shirt after 5 days and is better now.

Not to worry I will pull through this , but thank you .......I tell myself that I am in GODS hands and i will make it ...I tell myself there must be something else for me to do in this life and I will make the very best of it . What concerns me is that all the powers at be that control what happens in the medical system turn a blind eye to people who have serious reaction to a vaccine .. There should a medical done before a vaccination for someone with health conditions ...But the big push stays on to get everyone vaccinated even though no one knows their existing health conditions and how the drug they are already taking will be affected by this vaccine ... I enjoy playing with my bikes and I will never give that up 1

I enjoy playing with my bikes and I will never give that up True there is a big push and I do not know if all the clinc's are the same. But on both occasions when I went for my shots they asked me what medications I am on and what if any drugs I have ever had an allergic reaction to. Also here in Ontario they stress if you have any concerns to see your doctor before getting the vaccine. Now whether this holds true the quick pop up walk through clinics and drug stores etc that have been administering the shots I do not know. I do agree awareness is very important specially when one is already on multiple medications. Even eating the wrong foods such as grapefruit or turmeric can have repercussions with certain drugs. When I was on Clopidogrel which is a platelet reduction drug I would bleed like crazy for every little nick. I decided to check for interactions with other drugs and supplements I was taking and discovered that the turmeric and devils claw in the knee supplement I was taking also had platelet reduction quality's, so for a year I stopped taking it and for a year I had to suffer knee agony. Now I am off the clopidogrel and back on my knee supplement and my knees are happy again. Edited July 25, 2021 by saddlebum

Same with me I just felt like someone punched me in the shoulder with both shots. I had pfizer for the 1st and moderna for the 2nd but it was gone the next day. That was all my wife felt with the second shot as well were with the first Her whole upper body was in pain for two days. She had the pfizer for both shots.
RDawson Posted July 25, 2021 #16 Posted July 25, 2021 So far I haven’t taken the shots. I’m not a hard core antivaxer, just reluctant to use a rushed drug with little testing. My wife and oldest daughter took it with mild side effects (arm pain/flu symptoms) but ever time I consider getting it I see something like this. My youngest daughter and I are still holding out. I hope you get over it soon @larrydr 1

They have been working on the drug for a few years, since the last sar's outbreak actually but just added an extra push to it when covid broke out. I had the same reservations myself. But as in my case when you start to look at the numbers and then have two family members that spent a month and half on respirators and survived by the skin of their teeth, you don't so much look at the fears you have regarding the drug, as to which is the lesser of two evils. In my case I decided I would rather gamble on the drug then on the virus. Edited July 25, 2021 by saddlebum

I hope you get over it soon @larrydr I'm with you. I'm most concerned for my 19-year old son and what position his college may put him in to get the shot. There are well-documented cases of adverse side effects (especially young males having enlarged hearts after the shot) and we have no idea what this may cause 1, 2, or 10 years from now. There are well-educated researchers out there who say this has very real possibilities of causing autoimmune disorders in the longer term. And now we are hearing that the vaccine does not prevent catching the virus, at best it minimizes symptoms. I respect everyone who's made the choice to get the shot and just ask that same respect in return for my choice. @larrydr Get well soon!!!! Prayers are up for you! From what you've just told us here, you are one tough cookie! 4

My wife keeps reminding me I don’t have that long to worry about long term side effects on me. 🤷🤷🤷 1

I do know that if your knees don't work , there is a lot you can not do not most or 1/2 of time ...Drug interaction is something all doctors should be aware of when adding a new perscription to the mix ... I Spent 20 days in hospital in 1996 because of a drug interaction no one would talk about ..They had to stop all medications for 4 days then restart the long term medication ....The specialist the at H.S.C hospital in Winnipeg explained that anyone on a long perscribed drug is often in danger when adding another or new drug ....ON my last new perscription the doctor said you are under 65 and so then this should work ...I said no I am 74 ...The look on the doctors face said it all before a silence and a different perscription ...Looks like you and I have both been through a couple of things Be Well..
Leland Posted July 26, 2021 #23 Posted July 26, 2021 What disturbs me the most with all of this is that the medical profession rarely offered any therapeutics to afflicted people. Go home and suffer and if you get to the point you can't breath, we'll put you on a ventilator. There are therapeutics but they typically were not offered. We've all heard of them and how they were vilified. As always, follow the money.
BlueSky Posted July 26, 2021 #24 Posted July 26, 2021 When my 81 year old sister got covid, she was sent home and told to take tylenol. She got worse and spent a few days in the hospital taking several weeks altogether to recover. When Trump got the virus, he was given many drugs.
djh3 Posted July 26, 2021 #25 Posted July 26, 2021 I got the J&J thru the VA. I teach school in college and have some high schoolers in there too. My arm was sore for maybe a day, then the pain kind of moved around the arm and elbow areas. When I was in the service We had to take all kinds of vaccines for stuff. Flu, typhoid, cholera. Typhoid and Cholera always kicked my butt, but always muscle pains. I went to shot clinic and another fellow there got his and while in the "wait" period he passed rite out and got stomach cramps or something. My guess is maybe a different manufacture or something his body didnt like. My wife had maderna and first one a bit sore, but second she was really achey for a dy or 2.
