Marcarl Posted July 18, 2021 #2 Posted July 18, 2021 Just now, Mikeymike said: Are they any mods, or MC garage door openers? If you have a remote, just velcro it somewhere on or in the scoot. Depending on the type and age of the opener, there could be a generic remote available that can be programed to suit. 1
RDawson Posted July 18, 2021 #3 Posted July 18, 2021 I’ve seen some jumpered out of the opener and wired to the PTT button. 1
bikerjohn Posted July 18, 2021 #4 Posted July 18, 2021 I actually hard wired a push button to the cover by the ignition switch and took the remote and wired wires to it. When i come down the street I push the button and garage door opens. If you want more details PM me. 1

Me too, and any cars around the house without built in remotes, I hard wire a push button and hide the remote up under the dash. No one ever knows what that push button is for. I hate the thought of someone opening a car, taking registration in glovebox, remote gdo off visor and off to an easy robbery.
Squidley Posted July 18, 2021 #7 Posted July 18, 2021 I've seen some newer openers that are activated by using an app on your smartphone. I thought that was pretty slick if you ride with your phone in a cradle. 1
saddlebum Posted July 19, 2021 #8 Posted July 19, 2021 (edited) My dog hears me coming and barks to let the wife know who hits the door opener button. No wiring to update, no remote to hide or get stolen. Just got to remember to keep mouth shut if she doesn't hit the button on time Edited July 19, 2021 by saddlebum 1 2
cimmer Posted July 19, 2021 #9 Posted July 19, 2021 (edited) I use this and have it attached to my key chain for the bike. I set both buttons to open the garage door so when I am wearing riding gloves it doesnt matter what button I hit. https://www.chamberlain.com/universal-mini-garage-door-remote/p/MC100-P2 Hope this helps, Rick F. bpate4home Posted July 19, 2021 #10 Posted July 19, 2021 If you have Liftmaster's or Chamberlin's opener with Wi-Fi you can download the My Q app. This is how I open from the Bike and the Truck. As well as any other time I don't have an actual remote with me. You can also open the app via Voice activation. The only thing I haven't figured out is a 100% full hands free open Garage door command.
Mikeymike Posted July 26, 2021 Author #11 Posted July 26, 2021 I have the my Q app, guess my next question is what cradles are you all using?

bpate4home Posted July 28, 2021 #14 Posted July 28, 2021 Ram X for the moment. The problem with it is that the rubber covering the metal that grips the phone is deteriorating. I use it just about ever day. I recently saw a QuadLok on a buddies bike and I really like it. That will be my next mount purchase.
djh3 Posted July 29, 2021 #15 Posted July 29, 2021 You can buy replacement rubber ends. I had to buy some last fall.
