I just purchased a 05 Royal Star that has been sitting for 3 years. Im going around changing all the fluids. I flushed out the clutch fluid and now cannot get pressure. Squeezed lever. Held it. Loosened bleed valve. Tighten and released slowly. I also tried reverse filling and power bleeding. Any advice/tips?

Cover all bodywork in the area, squeeze the lever and crack open the banjo bolt on the master cylinder. I’ll bet you get some air out of there, once you get it bled there move to the slave and bleed it. Air collects at the master.

He is talking about the bolt that holds the line to master cylinder. This type of through fitting is often reffered to as a banjo fitting and the bolt therefore referred to as a banjo bolt.

That did it! I did hear something from the bolt but it didn't sound like a banjo tune.  I swear I held my tongue the right way.

thanks everyone
