Guest snake_1962 Posted May 26, 2008 #1 Posted May 26, 2008 I just ordered a 4 guage carb sync set. Now I need to know how to sync my carbs. I have an 05 RSTD with a little over 20,000 km on it. If anyone out there can send me a link or tell me step-by-step instructions, I would be very thankful. Dealer wants 3 hrs at almost $100/hr. Guages were only $95. Snake:225:
Freebird Posted May 26, 2008 #2 Posted May 26, 2008 Here you go and it's very simple. Your dealer is trying to rip you off. It's about a 15 minute job after you've done it the first time. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=258

Question: Do you reduce the diameter in the hoses to preform carb sync? On my Hayabusa you use a reducer in the line to the carbs. No mention in your article so I assume you just use the standard hose by it's self. hh

And yes you need to use them or the vaccum will be to great for the gauge.
