rbig1 Posted June 6, 2021 #1 Posted June 6, 2021 well as of fifteen min ago I sold my bike. I could get on it but there was no way I could get back off except fall off. Sad day for me but never going to get better. I will pop in still just not riding anymore. 3 2
uncledj Posted June 6, 2021 #2 Posted June 6, 2021 Ya don't need a bike to be an important part of this family. I'll look forward to hearin' from you in the days to come. 1
Freebird Posted June 6, 2021 #3 Posted June 6, 2021 I think a lot if us understand. I don’t know why I still have one but it’s hard to let go. 1
Pasta Burner Posted June 6, 2021 #4 Posted June 6, 2021 I’m so sorry to read this @rbig1 you’re loss though reaffirms my decision to get back in the saddle as I did last season. Gotta do what we can when we can, because tomorrow is never a guarantee. 1
Flyinfool Posted June 6, 2021 #5 Posted June 6, 2021 I know the feeling. My bike has been gone for 2 years now. I still miss it and this site is still stuck with me. 1
PastorCurt Posted June 6, 2021 #6 Posted June 6, 2021 Well, that just isn’t right, but I understand ! My plan is to get off the bike on my last ride and croak! I’ll be dead before I hit the ground….in twenty or thirty years! 2
dfitzbiz Posted June 7, 2021 #7 Posted June 7, 2021 Sorry to hear this Rbig1. Thanks for all you’ve done to help me begin repairing RSV shocks. Please visit us often. If you would be comfortable on a trike I have a couple 😁. Stay safe. 1

I know that amost of us sometimes don't think or realize , has happened to us as we approach the senior years ...At 74 I am finding out that some of the time I spent on the race track or doing a cross country endurance run that caused many injuries has a way of telling me , that I need to be careful and it may be time for a trike ... Don't give up find something easy to handle .
Woody Posted June 7, 2021 #10 Posted June 7, 2021 hate you let your bike go but you know a bike is not needed to hang out here, I was talked into a trike back in 2013 and have enjoyed a many of miles on it might be something to think about.
