I am not sure if the carbs on an 86 Venture Royale would have these. Just curious as my XJ650 has these and were dried out causing an air leak. If the carbs do have the seals on my Venture, I am looking for a supplier.
Marcarl Posted May 13, 2021 #4 Posted May 13, 2021 Something tells me that the 86 doesn't have them, don't remember dealing with them and can't find them in the parts fiche.
cimmer Posted May 13, 2021 #5 Posted May 13, 2021 There are shafts for the throttle blades for the carburetors and they are located at the bottom part of the carb body. This is what we are adjusting when we are setting the carb balance. Getting the blades to open to the proper setting to balance out the vacuum. I have not seen anyone that offers these seals but someone might have them. Check the K&L catalog as they have number carb parts in there. Good luck. Rick F.
saddlebum Posted May 13, 2021 #6 Posted May 13, 2021 (edited) When I rebuilt my carbs I could not source them any where so I left them in. I even tried going by using the bore and shaft dimensions and tried to get them from seal manufactures like Chicago Rawhide and national etc. Edited May 13, 2021 by saddlebum
