main 30 amp fuse

hello all thanks for letting me join,,i am 73 and still ride ,,i have a 2000 1300 rsv...battery was failing,so bought a new one put it on and cought the positive lead with spanner,everything went off,nothing,,i was told its the main 30amp fuse....told it was behind the rear left foot rest. small fuses were there but no main fuse,so looked at the other back side nothing,, what a job i had taking them off,never been off since new..does anyone know where the main fuse is situated..any help to sort this out would be nice,,also how do i alter the front and back hight as i am only small legs and just touching the floor..thanks in advance mike

The 30Amp main fuse is located behind the left rear floor board black plastic panel. It's mounted on/with the starter solenoid.
