Guest xler8me Posted May 26, 2008 #1 Posted May 26, 2008 Just wanted to know what some of u use for air pressure in the front and rear shocks. My wife and I are about 500lbs together with the saddle bags full. Is there any good ides what they should be run at. Oh and it was a great day in Maine for a ride.
Eck Posted May 26, 2008 #2 Posted May 26, 2008 Just my opinion here on the question.. I myself would run 5 lbs in the front and 35 to 40lbs in the rear. Im sure others will chime in soon..
Freebird Posted May 26, 2008 #3 Posted May 26, 2008 I think Eck gave you a good starting point. I don't think the front is that important. Based upon the weights you stated, I would guess though around 40-45 in the rear.
MAINEAC Posted May 26, 2008 #4 Posted May 26, 2008 Considering the so called weight limit for the RSV is like 420lbs... I would run max air in my tires and suspension 7#s in front 55# in back and the max or close to it on the sidewalls of your tires... Not the max air on the inside of your trunklid or manual.. Different tires run different pressures... VERY IMPORTANT.
