I am in the proccess on installing a  compressor with automatic leveling system on my 83 XVZ1200 ...I will be installing a logic board that drop the air pressure in the suspension to 0 psi when bike is turned off when engine is not running , when the eingine starts again the air pressure will return to preset pressure ..Trouble I am having is finding the air switches that compact enough ....I have seen the same system on a newer Honda Goldwing , to buy the parts have a hugh cost...I am not going to buy a new bike because I like old motorcycles

The currant air compressor and valveing system used on all MKI and MKII class systems has everything you want other than dropping pressure to zero with ignition switched off. You should be able to adapt it to what  you want, though I am not sure why you would want it to drop to zero.

On that note check out any truck parts supplier and ask for an electric over air valve. they are often used in things like lift axles. They come in normally open or normally closed. The valve is approximatly 1 inch in dia and 2.5 inches long. You can also check companys like Parker Hannifin or Norgren

XVZ12TDK did not come with a compressor ...I looked for used components and did find  some of them but at a crazy price about $450.00 for most of them and not all of them ..I know I can build my system for that amount on money ...These components were in the USA ,,I have bought a lot of stuff from people in the USA before covid ...I am still waiting for some peices 6  months ago ...The customs is a crazy piece of work  ...I bought a starter for my Venture on Ebay from the USA for $156.00 and the shipping cost me $187.45 in USA dollar X $1.34 to get to Canadian...$326.22 Canadian

Damn Larry sorry to hear that.  I think that’s why a lot of guys end up with a few extra parts bikes.  Cheaper to buy a whole bike than the part you need.  I’m about to do just that myself.  When I got my 87 the PO had an auxiliary compressor attached to the saddle bag and Schrader valves to the suspension.  Luckily all the factory stuff was still there so I just had to fix it and splice back into the lines.  Thinking about keeping the onboard compressor for tires and whatnot.

Here in Manitoba there are guys that cruise the country side looking for bikes that don't run , and they will buy them just to have as spares ..I spent 10 years in industrial electronics and robotics , I am sure that I can find a way of getting the job done ..I belong to a antique club check us out...www.amcm.ca

I started with old bikes in 1960 , it has been a fun time

According to the parts book 83 XVZ12TDK did come with it on some models. Comparing it to other years this assembly was used on both MKI & MKII from 83 to 92 so finding a good used one should be no issue. Same goes for the control unit. although you may find some control units will need the connector solder joints re-soldered, which is easily done. These joints tend to crack IMHO because the harness puts a strain on the connector each time you open the cover to access the coolant bottle. I added a restraint to the harness to stop this. you may have to either replace or upgrade your existing harness or make up an independent harness to tie the control unit in with the air system which should not be too difficult if you have any electrical savvy and can read schematics. All said and done with the 83 to 92 time span you should have no issue finding good used parts for  what you need.

Electric Schematics are easy...I spent 10 years inindustrial electronics and robotics ...

I found plenty of parts in the USA .

The only problem is money exchange and shipping accross the border hard to do ..( .37 cents per dollar and taxes at the border )

As a Liftmaster Operator Dealer linked to Liftmaster Nebraska , the shipping is unreal
