SW Florida anyone?

Just wondered if anybody here is in the SW Florida region? My wife and I will be back in that area for vacation the 4th week (21-28)of June:cool10:.I will be riding the Venture down Friday June 20th and my wife is flying into SW regional at Ft. Myers on Sunday June 22nd. We (I) have become pretty familiar with the area as we have been making this trip for several years now Thought it would be nice to meet some fellow V-4 riders. We will be staying in North Port right off of 41.Our usual itinerary again will be riding and hanging out at the beach. We wander up and down the coast the whole week trying to hit different beaches. Normally we go as far north as Siesta Keys and south as far as Marco Island. We are always wanting to find new places to eat and ride so if anyone is local and knows some secret hotspot away from the tourist traps let us know! Look forward to some new friends, good eats...and of course great rides!

Hi Jeff, im north of Ft myer in Port Charlotte. a couple good placed are the tiki Barr at Stump pass marina in Englewood. another is the White elephant on manasota Key when there a must ride is along beach road the lenght of manasota key, nice and twisty and called canopie road with the tree cover. satalite reception comes and goes.

Thanks for the info Mike, will have to try them out. We love to ride the Canopy Road on Manasota Key. Especially at night thru Blind Pass park, where you can see and hear the waves breaking on the beach.
