Great day today. A bunch of us went over to Victoria for the first " Do it for Dad" ride. They were expecting about 250 bikes and they got over 500. Police closed off the roads and gave us an escort through the town for the parade then we had a poker run over the hat to Duncan where lunch was served and then back to Victoria. I picked up two pair but that wasn't good enough to win any prizes. That's $ 12,500.00 raised plus the pledges. Saw my oncologist ( cancer doctor) there on his bike. Good weather all the way. All in all a very good day. Met a nice couple who just picked up a midnight venture second gen from Oregon. Told them about this site. Saw one first gen there.:cool10:

Hey Kerry,

This is a real good news story. Congrats on what was obviously a great day.

My dad (85) is a prostate cancer survivor.

I'm 56 and have regular check-ups.

My PSA came in at 0.8 this week.

Cholesterol is spot on.

My doc said what ever I was doing - keep doing it.

I owe it all to my ever-loving pillion who controls my diet - and hers.

She's a pillion-in-a-million and worth lots of these . .

Our local "Ride for Dad" is tomorrow and we're expecting a really good turnout (weather is supposed to be super).

Today was the Cruisin' for Wellspring Ride - Wellspring is a Cancer Support Organization. It was the 3rd annual - the first year they had 17 bikes, last year they had 70 and this year there were 160, and over $17,000 raised for the organization.

Great day for it too!

Cheers,

Sailor,

Glad you had a good time and for a Great Cause.

Being a survior of Prostate Cancer myself (7 years cancer free). The Wife and I went on a Poker Run last weekend for Relay For Life. For a small town of 600 people we had almost 100 bikes. Was a good time by all. Met a former site member Bill Freeman has a 03

said he had only rode his bike about 3 times in 3 years, Hasnt been on site since before the crash.

Just got back in from the R-F-D here in Windsor, we had a great turn out, 785 bikes and over a thousand people raising over $80,000. We had great weather, great ride and met great people.

This is one cause of many that deserve all the support they can get.
