Papabird Posted September 13, 2020 #1 Posted September 13, 2020 Just picked my “new” 2005 RSTD. Loving it! I noticed with the design of the cockpit we have limited space to mount things. Phone holder, gps unit, cam, etc. Any creative solutions out there? Thanks Roger Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
RDawson Posted September 13, 2020 #2 Posted September 13, 2020 I used a Ram mount with a master cylinder clamp base for the phone, the phone is also my gps. I have an Edsets Bluestreak to Bluetooth music, directions, and integrate phone calls into the bike audio systems. My Amplirider and Bluestreak remotes are Velcro mounted on the master cylinders. Cup holder on the bars and USB ports in place of the cassette. No camera as of now. Trying to clear the bars and de-clutter.
vzuden Posted September 14, 2020 #3 Posted September 14, 2020 Ram mount for my phone with blue tooth into my helmet. Charger wired in and mounted inside fairing with lead out to the phone. It does music, phone calls, navigation, and intercom
djh3 Posted September 15, 2020 #4 Posted September 15, 2020 I wired in a couple of 12v connections for phone and GPS. I used Ram mounts on the bars and everything was visible and out of way of dash. The ram mounts have different lengths of "center" sections from like a couple inches to 4 or 5" long I think.
