Hardy Posted May 22, 2008 Posted May 22, 2008 I am on my second Venture. I had a 1984 which I loved but a divorce seen that go out the window. Now I have a 2007 Midnight Venture that I am picking up tomorrow. How many miles are you folks getting on the older bikes. Do they hit the 200 or 300 thousand mile marks with little problem? Just curious:detective:

Guest Popeye Posted May 23, 2008 Posted May 23, 2008 I used to stop at the motel in Simcoe in the early 70's. All I remember is the motel surrounded by tobacco fields. Didn't know anyone else lived there. Must have grown. I've heard many stories of VRs & Wings going 200-300k miles, but the ones I know to be that high, have been completely over-hauled every 100k miles or so, with many miles ridden every year. In states that can ride year-round, mileage goes up in a hurry, on newer parts. If a scoot is parked every winter, the parts keep aging & deteriorating. If you ride 50k miles every year, and do great maint., you should get 200-300k miles. If you ride 5k every year & store every winter, & bike switches owners several times, 40k might be max. [many variables in between]
