tmodel Posted May 22, 2008 #15 Posted May 22, 2008 Saturday morning at daylight... my wife and I are riding the scoot to Tybee Island, GA. Two days enjoying the ocean will be wonderful. 700 miles of 55 and 60 mph riding through the country side..... HEAVENLY!!!! The ride is the real vacation. Might as well enjoy the ocean while we rest up... for more riding! Tim
dynodon Posted May 22, 2008 #16 Posted May 22, 2008 Road Captain for about 8 bikes going to Brown County, IN for three days of back road riding and cooking out, all staying in log cabins. Central and Southern Indiana has some of the best riding roads in the country. (Shhhhh, don't tell anyone!). And, just to make everyone REALLY jealous, we are stopping Saturday for lunch at the Mayberry Cafe in Danville, IN. 60's black and white police squad out front and tv's playing many different episodes of Mayberry RFD on all the time. Good food, and GREAT deserts! Wish we had time to ride through the covered bridges of Rockville, IN, but that will have to be another trip.
Guest bman Posted May 22, 2008 #17 Posted May 22, 2008 I'll be one of almost 50 biker leaving Flint Michigan tomorrow morning on Rolling Thunder to Washington DC, meeting up with an estimated 300,000 + bikers at the Pentagon on Sunday to remember our honored Veterans, specifically those who are POW/MIA. We take the scenic route through eastern Ohio then into the mountains of West Virginia, Virginia, Maryland and then into DC. This is a 4 day trip for us one that I look forward to every year now. God Bless!
