Marco Air Horn install question.

I want to install a Marco Air Horn on my RSV 04.

Can I just hook up the + & - wires on the factory horn to it and will it work, or do I have to install the relay?

I am almost positive you need to use the relay or you can draw too much power on the wires. I would guess there is already a relay there, but is it good enough? Other smarter than I, will be along soon with better answers, I just wanted to give a quick, I wouldn't before you do and regret it. Good luck

You need to run a hot wire from the battery through a relay. Use the factory wires to trip the relay.

So do you mean the factory horn wires?

I will be disconnecting the factory horn so should I be able to use them for power, correct?

Use the factory wires only to power the relay magnet. Run a wire large enough to carry the horn amperage Through the relay to power the horn. Be sure to use the appropriate fuse close to the battery
