There is a 5 amp ATC fuse for audio "back up" (memory). Perhaps it is blown?

If that's not it, my '99 would randomly loose memory when the battery was starting to die. New battery and it's been fine since.

Thought about that too but my battery is only a year old and crank the bike fine....fuse that Kevin mentioned was blown
