Oily spark plug threads?

Put in new plugs today & verified gaps.

Did a 10 mile test ride & bike ran great!

I then pulled those plugs to check condition & they seemed good with white tips.

I did notice the threads on the left side plugs were oily...while the right side threads were clean.

Is this normal? ok? Or what would it signify?

I haven't pulled the plugs on my '06 yet but, I seem to recall several discussions here about the Gen 2s having some oil residue that winds up being on the left side. IIRC, it's from blow by vapors that run to left when on the side stand.

 

I'm sure someone will come by with some real information soon!
