Guest kozman01 Posted May 21, 2008 #1 Posted May 21, 2008 Hi everyone. Can anyone tell me what the brake pads on the newer Ventures are made of? Are they organic, sintered, etc? The fronts on my 07 sound like a snarling box of rocks any time I brake (2500 miles and have done it form virtually mile 0) . I just won some EBC FA179 organics on ebay for next to nothing and I was wondering if the organic pads would be somewhat quieter. Thanks for any opinions and input.
pegscraper Posted May 23, 2008 #2 Posted May 23, 2008 I don't know what material they are. A snarling box of rocks? Only one other time I heard a guy describe his front brakes like this. He ended up getting some floating rotors from a newer Roadstar to stop the problem. I hope you have better luck with the new pads.
Eck Posted May 23, 2008 #3 Posted May 23, 2008 Hi everyone. The fronts on my 07 sound like a snarling box of rocks any time I brake (2500 miles and have done it form virtually mile 0) . it is a normal sound,.... nothing to worry about.. the stock "front" pads will last a long time compared to the rear pads...
Rick Butler Posted May 25, 2008 #4 Posted May 25, 2008 Put a set of EBC HH pads on the front calipers and you will have the brakes you desire. However do NOT put these pads on the rear caliper because it will give you more rear brake than you know what to do with. Hope this helps, Rick
