One of the guys going on our cross country trip has an OEM Windshield (17")on his RSMV.

He is taking Rain X in anticipation of the rain we will hit.

I believe that Rain X is a No No for this Windshield. It will Blister it.

Am I correct?

What about the ShowChrome Windshield?

Can I use Rain X or do I need something else?

I have used Lemon Pledge on all of my bikes. Works great and is inexpensive!

RainX is not compatable with plexiglass or lexan. Don't use it. I use Plexus. Some people use Pledge furniture polish.-Jack

Where do you find Plexus? Haven't had any luck in the auto parts stores.

...didn't read all the posts just saw this and do know from experiance that Pledge works. I use the premoistened wipes. My understanding is the aerosol is bad for windshields too because of the propellents. Use the pump or the wipes.

I use pledge also on my bike, my question is that does any one use off brands like found at the dollar stores? I was just wondering if these would work as well.:confused24: Thanks

Use RejeX on the windshield, mirrors and paint!!!!!!!!!

It was developed for the US Military for use on helicopters to keep the turbine exhaust from sticking to/corroding the airframe, and it works GREAT!!!!!!!!!

Click the bottle above to go to CorrosionX’s web site!!!!!

GET some by clicking HERE

Or you might try your local True Value Hardware store!!!!!!!!!!

I buy at least two bottles at a time to save on shipping.

I use it on all my cages and bikes.... paint, glass, and hard plastics to include bike windshields and the headlight housings on my cages.....

This is the BEST product I have EVER used, and I have tested MANY products over the years. This is GREAT STUFF!!!!

Goes on easy, comes off easier and protects for a long time!!!!!!
