2005 RSV to 2008 RSV comparison:

2008 RSV Front suspension Telescopic fork; air-assist, 5.5-in travel

2005 RSV Front suspension Telescopic fork; air-assist, 5.6-in travel

$17,299 = 2008 RSV (Black Cherry/ Raven)

$17,599 = 2008 RSV (S model (Charcoal Silver)

$16,499 = 2005 RSV (Liquid Silver)

$16,999 = 2005 RSV (Midnight)

Everything else is the same, even the "cassette tape player" is still there....:whistling:

Do you think one of them is a typo error, or do you suppose that Yamaha's great technological advancement over those three years was to drop a couple of extra washers on top of the front fork springs before putting the caps on?

I forgot to mention ...

I've heard several Words from Germany, the new Vmax will be at the Dealers end of October/Beginning November this Year. You can order a Bike since mid April. Delivery Time is 1st Quarter 2009.

So my Guess is, the Countdown is indeed for the new Max ...

I'd prefer a Vmax first, but a 1Gen Venture Style would be fine also.

I could strip it down to the Necessaries....

Frame, Motor, Fork, Swing arm, Brakes, Wheels and a Seat. Oh, some Headlight and Blinker would be fine, but anything else could be sold to shorten the Price.

looks like Germany is 4 Hours ahead ...

http://www.yamaha-motor.de/

I see the German site as being 4 hours and 20 seconds behind....

AND the US key has the Star logo while the German key as the triple tuning fork logo......

But the US site say 12 NOON pacific, but it is currently timed for 12 noon eastern.....

If this is true, who wants to buy my 2007 RSV??????

But with that exhaust note, it will be the unveiling of the new V-Max

I can assure you, yesterday it was the other Way around. Must be an Issue with different Time Servers. At least that i was told from a Guy.

I noticed the different Logo's. It has to be a Vmax or anything which is sold under this Brand in US. Well, as we could order the new Vmax since mid of April, i think that's the new Max.

As i said before, i'd prefer the Max, but if it would be a Venture .. OK, works for me.

In the End, it comes down to test ride on any Bike first.

Just bringing a V4 for big Money doesn't necessarily mean, i'd buy one. For big Money, i'd update both of my V4's in every Aspect and still get out cheaper than 20,000.00 Euros ...

Anyway, i like to see a new V4.

looks like the anouncement pertains to the V-Max being the only change Yamaha made...

I wouldnt be expecting a change in the RSV model...

I mean truthfully now, what "could" they really do to improve it...

It comes with such a great sounding and "hideable" cassette player

It comes with the best straight cut gears one can find on a bike

It comes with a rear shock that....ah never mind..

I mean. hey...leave well enough alone..
