Marcarl Posted June 12, 2020 #3 Posted June 12, 2020 Oh Yah,, something about the pipes,,, they need to be attached to work proper eh? Hard to see them things, they is soooo shiny.

saddlebum Posted June 18, 2020 #5 Posted June 18, 2020 Hey!!Mama,, it's missing a wheel,,, did you loose it? Was the bike going sooo fast the wheel couldn't keep up???Waky waky Marcarl, It's a second Gen not a 1st Gen Burgandy /Blk Cherry MKII.
cowpuc Posted June 18, 2020 #6 Posted June 18, 2020 Waky waky Marcarl, It's a second Gen not a 1st Gen Burgandy /Blk Cherry MKII. Indeed Carl,, Bum is definitely batting 100%!! And then, on top of all this,, it only takes the smaller 1200cc MK1 1st Gen to put a good, clean whoopin on a 1300cc MK2 and,, in total disagreement with Yammer Dan's thought that it had to be a Blue one fo this to be accurate (RIP my brother), that stands for all MK1's - they were not color dependent on being kings of the Yamaha Venture lineage.. These little 1200cc also disproves once again that old myth that there is no replacement for displacement but double proves its all about the HP/Weight ratios.. It is odd that Mom Yam still has not caught onto this fact and steadfastly did things backwards and inverted with the Venture lineup by producing the fastest, best handling, most comfortable model of the lineage first and the slowest last with total progression in the lineage to that effect.. :lightbulb:maybe the whole world has been sliding into madness for years and current day global madness is just a culmination of craziness that we shoulda/coulda seen coming when Yamaha dropped the MK1 line
videoarizona Posted June 18, 2020 #7 Posted June 18, 2020 Puc, yep...it's all about HP to weight ratio. But ya also need to add in the gear/rear end ratios too! 2nd gen is seriously hobbled by an overdrive gearbox. Not kosher for zippiness! Actually, not kosher for much at all except riding around in 4th gear at 60mph. Gearing is to long to even get off the line quickly. Sigh. Where's that VMax rear end I keep wanting to buy??
Marcarl Posted June 18, 2020 #8 Posted June 18, 2020 Waky waky Marcarl, It's a second Gen not a 1st Gen Burgandy /Blk Cherry MKII. I was just givin 'er the benefit,,,,, even if there was doubt.
Yama Mama Posted July 14, 2020 Author #9 Posted July 14, 2020 Update on 99 in the air. Well it is down on the driveway now, and it even got washed and ready to ride. Yama Mama
Yama Mama Posted July 15, 2020 Author #11 Posted July 15, 2020 Well I kind of jumped the gun there puc. Moped was still torqueing bolts to day on the direct drive shaft, so we aren't exactly riding tonight. Yama Mama
