gaijin Posted June 8, 2020 #1 Posted June 8, 2020 (edited) H-D Screamin Eagles (2012). Will it fit directly as plug n' play into a 2008 Royal Star Tour Deluxe? Thanks. Edited June 8, 2020 by gaijin
Freebird Posted June 8, 2020 #2 Posted June 8, 2020 It will fit fine but I wouldn't say directly. You will have to fabricate some brackets. Easy to do.
Wieberama Posted September 18, 2020 #3 Posted September 18, 2020 It will fit fine but I wouldn't say directly. You will have to fabricate some brackets. Easy to do. So I have the same question and I didn't want to start taking apart the bags, brackets and what have you to slip off my old pipes (stock tour deluxe, 2007). Does anyone know the ID and OD of the stock muffler flange, where it meet the extension, mid bike? I'm trying to plan for the layout, including the gasket, but the Clymer's doesn't show me the stock pipe interfaces. I also noticed from pics that most HD pipe brackets are horizontal facing and the TD looks like it's vertical, so I imagine I could find or fab an L-bracket for this?
djh3 Posted September 19, 2020 #4 Posted September 19, 2020 They slip right on. Virtually same OD as the Yammie pipes. I used worm clamps on mine until I decided I really wanted to keep them. V-Twin make a clamp that fits. I do not remember the size. As for support brackets I used 3/4" P clamps and 1/4"x20 bolts off the bag brackets at back of muffler.
Freebird Posted September 19, 2020 #5 Posted September 19, 2020 One note. The stock mufflers have a gasket. You will not use it with the Harley mufflers.
doncrs65 Posted October 10, 2020 #6 Posted October 10, 2020 Will any slip on for Harley work on a tour Deluxe? Sent from my moto g(7) power using Tapatalk
Freebird Posted October 10, 2020 #7 Posted October 10, 2020 Any of the turning mufflers will. Electra Glide, Road Glide, etc. Be aware that there were a couple of years where Harley put the catalytic convertors in the mufflers, you'll want to avoid those.
