Marcarl Posted June 4, 2020 #4 Posted June 4, 2020 I'm thinking that should not leak for a bit,,, not so sure about the oil pan though, got any pictures so we can evaluate?
Flyinfool Posted June 4, 2020 #5 Posted June 4, 2020 Yup, tighten to that point and back off 1/4 turn, perfect.
djh3 Posted June 5, 2020 #6 Posted June 5, 2020 Soooo Guess he went to one of them quick oil change places eh?
Max Posted June 5, 2020 #7 Posted June 5, 2020 Well, the torque in ftlb's is stamped on the plug right? + 1/4 turn to spec..
Condor Posted June 5, 2020 #8 Posted June 5, 2020 Needs to be a little tighter, it didn't stop the leak....
djh3 Posted June 6, 2020 #9 Posted June 6, 2020 So I'm surfin the net here and watchin a show on NBCsn. Detroit Muscle, these 2 guys are doing a "build" on a Crown Vic. Swapped out all suspension springs, sway bars and rear links. Swapped gears to lower ratio and a few other things. Only tool used to tighten things? A Matco impact. Never said anything about torquing anything. Just ratatatt. Now thats impressive for people to think they can do this on their own.
