Mad Dog Posted May 28, 2020 #1 Posted May 28, 2020 Hi all, Hope you're all safe from the COVID's.... Any thread or advice on taking the starter switch block apart to clean the starter switch contacts? I think I might have to do that... ... if I ever get a free minute! Thanks Mike
BratmanXj Posted May 28, 2020 #2 Posted May 28, 2020 Jumping in so I can come back to this later. My bike gave me no-start fits for a few days and I believe its in the right side kill switch. I was able to get some contact cleaner sprayed into the housing and work it loose so the bike starts but I'd really like to break it open and do a through cleaning.
cecdoo Posted May 28, 2020 #3 Posted May 28, 2020 Take a large clear plastic bag and try to create a bubble around the switch, cause if there are any small springs and parts in there, its alot easier to find them in the bag, then it is on your garage floor. I just spray contact cleaner in there, followed by wd40. Good Luck, Craig
