Puc I am not concerned for myself or my feelings in this thread EXCELLENT, AND I HOPE YOU KNOW I AM NOT TRYING TO HURT EITHER YOU OR YOUR FEELINGS - YOU ARE MY FRIEND!!

I have in the past tried to explain such things as compressible fluids, why we use the term and how we are able via that thinking calculate and understand combustion cycles extra. I did not mock your thinking at the time, did not mock your lack of understanding of the basis dynamics of which I never mocked your distorted views as seen from my perspective and actually tried to reeducate you I dissected dyno testing endlessly with you, pointing again to the missing connections this is a motorycycle forum, not someones personal class room instead of mocking! AND THOUGH I DISAGREED WITH SOME OF YOUR OPINIONS, I NEITHER MOCKED OR BELITTLED YOU EITHER.. IF I DID IT WAS OUT OF BROTHERLY TEASING IN RESPONSE TO YOUR CONDENSENDING LANGUAGE..

Now your are twisting my words and efforts in the most basic princeliness of combustion issues by denying proven known's and procedures! PERHAPS WE NEED TO DISSECT YOUR CLAIM HERE JUST FOR CLARITY. DO YOU REMEMBER MAKING THIS STATEMENT = ""Stuck rings a perfect example, get them early and no problem. Above high limit is another example. These are common issues on these 4's .They are discovered thru compression checks. Another can be valves not seating tight."" ?? Are we, as friends, in agreement that I did not twist or alter your words found in quotes above? If we are in agreement there, please note that all my response here with this poll has been to show you that your statement was in error.. That is all, nothing else. No big deal..

Other forums other mechanics young and old read this stuff too, what do you think their takeaway is? Hopefully they will discover that it is not common for Yamaha V-4's to have top end issues like stuck rings or valving problems resulting in the need for compression testing to diagnose them and that the Yamaha V-4 has been extremely reliable for many owner/operators..

Now I stay out of model specific stuff, its just not my strength. your comment above in quotes made it model specific, I did not.

So please Puc stop trying to make a fool of yourself, in trying to make one of me! Definitely not trying to make a fool of neither you, nor I.. Just trying to make sure the truth is known concerning what is, or is not a common problem with the Yamaha V-4's and that those following our fun banter will know the truth and not get lost in two, equally knowledgeable mechanics having fun with each other.

Just yesterday morning I had enough respect for you to accept you were pulling my leg I never said I was pulling your leg, no idea where you got that from ; I would like to maintain that friendship and respect right there with you little brother , so stop trying to reteach me what I am rock solid in; I am sure footed in my experience.as am I, perhaps we should allow each other the space and dignity to hold our own opinions without disagreement becoming personal.. Call a truce..

You have done this before Puc please explain this one?, it hasn't work well with others either I am not aware of behind the club scenes of this - please feel free to enlighten me - I am not one to hang out where I am not welcome, do not mistake me for a Mark never even crossed my mind and the "Mark" language is seriously confusing to me, please explain this one too?.

Still love ya Big Brother but little brother is not playing this nonsense game any longer!

My apologies for any hard feelings here Patch.. I extend my hand to you in a handshake of friendship out of mutual respect for opposing opinions. I think it best that we drop the Big Brother/Little brother routine as well as the "game" as you call it.. I propose that we go back to addressing each other as Patch and Puc and build from there.. What say you?

I did post it because of the chorus but then when I listened to it there was a line in there about going separate ways which was not what I had in mind so I deleted it but I guess you got it any way because I did the @ thing. Anyway the intent was to get back to being peaceful friends and accepting our differences.
