uncledj Posted May 1, 2020 #1 Posted May 1, 2020 Just found out that I'll likely be going back to work on Monday. I can't say that I'm excited about the prospect. Haven't had more than 2 weeks off at a time for over 30 years and I'll tell ya...it was pretty nice. Oh well....gotta get back to the rat race and start rebuilding this retirement fund. If this is what retirement will be like....I'm gonna LOVE it....can't wait...but will have to wait at least another 5 years....maybe more.
SpencerPJ Posted May 1, 2020 #3 Posted May 1, 2020 Sounds great, I guess . Our Governor started rolling everyone at a slow pace starting Monday as well.
djh3 Posted May 2, 2020 #4 Posted May 2, 2020 I'm on the other end of this kind of deal. First my college was open and "no problem paying you thru May" 2 days later "we are closing Friday, you need to apply for unemployment". 3 days later I finally got in to file. Supposed to go back May 4th. Today I find out nope now 18 May. So I am working in a fill in job landscaping/maintenance in a mobile home park. Not my cup O tea, but its more money than the unemployment I'm not getting.
