Skid Posted March 28, 2020 #1 Posted March 28, 2020 Whats the best advise for getting the mufflers off the bike? They are suppose to be slip on mufflers, but they ain’t coming apart
Freebird Posted March 28, 2020 #2 Posted March 28, 2020 They can be tough to remove after being on for several years. You just have to keep at it. Move them up and down and then side to side and they will eventually loosen up enough to pull off.
cecdoo Posted March 29, 2020 #3 Posted March 29, 2020 Spray some PB Blaster or any other penetrating oil you have around, in the joint, let set over nite, Tap end of muffler with block of wood and hammer next day. Spray some more then work up and down, side to side and twist. Always worked for me. Bike will smoke and stink for awhile after you replace pipe and start it, but it clears once oil is burnt off. Good Luck, Craig
