okiefirefighter Posted May 16, 2008 Share #1 Posted May 16, 2008 I have read that everyone says to put on a set of Progressive springs on the front. I am going to have my forks rebuilt and I wanted to know if this is the time to install them? They go inside of the fork tubes right? Does anyone know where I can get a set and what the part number is? Can I still use the air suspension? Thanks, Kevin
Ozark Posted May 16, 2008 Share #2 Posted May 16, 2008 I believe I ordered mine direct from Progressive, but there are several aftermarkets. I'm not running any air in the front forks after I installed the new springs, and yes, this would be the ideal time to install them. P.S. I love the new ride and handling. funrider Posted May 16, 2008 Share #3 Posted May 16, 2008 got mine form the old bike barn. http://www.oldbikebarn.com/ Just put them in a few weeks ago and love the way it rides and handles now. Can put it on the side stand without it setting so straight up and down that I thought it was going to fall over.
Rocket Posted May 16, 2008 Share #4 Posted May 16, 2008 Does anyone know where I can get a set and what the part number is? Can I still use the air suspension? Thanks, Kevin The progessive part is #11-1112, yes you can still run air if needed / wanted.

rhncue Posted May 17, 2008 Share #6 Posted May 17, 2008 I just put new Progressives in both the front forks and on the rear shock. i already had Progressives in the front and thought they had went bad but actually it was the rear spring giving such a rough ride. Made all the difference in the world. I got them from Rick Hafferkamp at: http://www.buckeyeperformance.com/ Dick :)
