djh3 Posted March 22, 2020 #5 Posted March 22, 2020 Them rock dont look real comfy. Had to go to South Carolina for a USAF school back in the day. A fellow Sgt also was going to the school. So we agreed to take my bike and trailer @ the time. A GS1100. He was from left coast and had never been further east than Oklahoma. He was all eyes on the trip it was fun. On our way back we headed for Talladega Al there was a race that weekend. I had camp gear and we picked a good spot side of a hill. Well it commenced to raining around bed time. About 1 am we woke up and there was a river running thru the tent. Next day we waited around to see if would clear, it didnt so we loaded up and headed to Vicksburg Ms and got a room. Man did it look funny with all that wet gear hanging up around curtain rods, lamps anything high enough to run a rope to dry.

Actually,,, with a hunk of foam rubber inside the $20 Menards tent them rocks didnt sleep that badly.
cowpuc Posted March 23, 2020 Author #12 Posted March 23, 2020 That the same bus and location used in the movie Vanishing point? ,,, could very well have been Ben!! The "bus" is located in Skull Valley Utah,, just a couple mile of desert dirt riding behind the gas station,, the only gas station there.. Would definitely be a perfect place to produce a scarey movie:missingtooth:

Never did the Army thing Sky (THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE BROTHER),, I am more of the cowardly biker type who, if the skies are iffy will scout out an abandoned fuel station to camp under,, or even a tree in a cemetery or even a water tower or a vacant picnic table in a county park or a,,,,,,,,,
cowpuc Posted March 23, 2020 Author #14 Posted March 23, 2020 Leave it to my brother Puc, to be the first and far best social distancing expert!! Love you brother!! LOVE YOU TOO MY TEXAS HERO BROTHER!!! Dohs are great pics Puc.. Brings back the good ol' days... Peace be on you brother.. Puc, you, Tippy, and Tweek s have made some epic trips around the country! I have really enjoyed reading about them and seeing all the photos and videos! Thanks you guys,, defenitly some great memories of days gone by.. Last year I had Tweeksis at a local event where a couple thousand bikes (not kidding,, our "Spring Run" is legendary) where a group of HD riders was gathered around Tweeks admiring her collection of earned stickers/signatures/tie wraps holding her together and the +1 million mile Blonde side covers that had been on all 6 of our 1st Gens.. One of the viewers made mention that he knew I was no longer able to tour and, admiring Tweeksis offered me a grand for her as she sat.. I chuckled and said no,,, that would be like selling my best friend or the collection of family pictures sitting above my TV set... I said nahhhh,,,, thinking old Tweeks will eventually end up retired and up on a stand as a memory bike.. Few more Social Distancing pics in honor of Tweeks and her kind? Let er buck
