Greetings,

Getting ready to install a set of passing lamps. Looks straight forward and time consuming.

Any tips, tricks and short cuts?

Thank you in advance.

Be sure that you use a spacer when you install the passing light mount. They are available through a member here, although his name escapes me for the moment. The spacer will allow you to split the faring in the future with out removing the passing lights. Be sure that you seal the running lights/ turn signals where they connect to the light bar. Also if you plan on installing the visor on the headlight, this would be the time. :322:

Thanks for the tips! Might have to wait now due to the fact I want to run the visors but have yet to order them. :(

I'll follow post for the "spacer" mod also.

The inline fuse that comes with the lights stays in the fairing! DAH! I extended the wires so the fuse tucks into the plastic shield under & in front of the fuel tank - AFTER I had to replace the fuse due to a pinched wire by having to remove the fairing - once again!!!!

BTW the passing lights work great but are the worst design of anything I have put my hands on. You will not enjoy the installation but will like the lights after you have to adjust them umpteen times.

I got the same ones on my 06 TD, and i noticed this morning that the headlight is loose, where it attaches to the top of the light bar, almost like the bushing itself is loose- not the bolt. anyone else noticed this on theirs? I know the venture one is not quite the same set up, and I don't think this would be an issue.
