Well I finally done it... I held out as long as I could, but my OS is now a 10. I don't know nutin' about anything beyond a hotlink so my hired gun son-in-law came over and did the up grade. I do run Chrome as a browser and after the smoke cleared I can't figure out what all the fuss was about. Business as usual... The cost?? Home made tamales and chili... :thumbsup2:

I've been running 10 for a few years now. No issues. Once I got used to it I didn't miss 7 anymore. As far as that goes, after I spent a couple of hours getting used to 7, I didn't miss XP anymore. And so on and so forth.

I did the free upgrade a few days ago and I don't have any problems with 10 other than I no longer have the game Minesweeper. Man, I was good at that game. My record was 99 seconds to discover 90 bombs!

I had my 'puter guy (nephew) upgrade one of my laptops to 10 and when we spoke about it, he said 10 has changed somewhat from what it started out as and really isn't that bad.

I'm still favoring the laptop with 7 on it, but intend on starting to use the one with 10 on it one of these days.:guitarist 2:

If you want to use Windows 10 but still like the look and feel of Windows 7, you can install Classic Shell.

http://www.classicshell.net/

It is free and simply makes the Windows 10 desktop and start menu look like Windows 7 - and it is very configurable. I make my living with computers and use it on all of them.

My browser is Chrome, and I can't tell any difference from 7.... Maybe I.E. shows some difference in appearance but I haven't used IE in years.

I installed Windows 10 32BIT OS on my 64bit processor so I can still run 64bit, 32bit, AND old 16BIT programs.

Wow, someone still running 16 Bit apps. I know the 64 Bit version of the OS will run the 32 Bit apps but 16 Bit. What type of app would that be?

I haven't seen that in 25 - 30 years. You know they make other DB's. May be time to upgrade to something in this century :rotf:

Q&A works great. You would not believe the business it runs/still is running . Q&A for Windows is unstable. Q&A 5.0 is unstable, most backends that use Q&A use Q&A 4.0.

You presume too much about my DB selection. I also use Oracle 5.0, Paradox 4.X modified , and of course... that Microsoft thingy.

I understand what you are saying, and no I'm not terribly surprised by what it could do and by your example still can do. I moved on from that to RBase then DBase multiple proprietary garbage stuff due to need. The company i'm with today uses mostly MS SQL and some MySQL. I had to look up what replaced Q&A because I just didn't remember. It was a product called Sesame. To my surprise they are still around and still support Q&A DB Transition from the looks of it. Support current windows versions and Linux.

Yeah... I use Sesame as well. It rocks.
