awsmsrv Posted February 19, 2007 #1 Posted February 19, 2007 Anyone here tried this product: Garage Door Opener: http://www.autoswitch.com/2006/models/as5pg2/as5pg2_index.shtml. Sounds like a very useful item. Maybe this one, too: Passing Lamps: http://www.autoswitch.com/2006/models/as5p/as5p_index.shtml for turning on/off the passing lamps.
Eddie Posted February 19, 2007 #2 Posted February 19, 2007 I would love to know how to make one of these.
Freebird Posted February 19, 2007 #3 Posted February 19, 2007 Take a look at this thread. Wish I know who submitted it. Would like to give them credit. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1406
awsmsrv Posted February 19, 2007 Author #4 Posted February 19, 2007 Thanks, Don. I was actually looking at that earlier today. I like that one, as well.
Eddie Posted February 19, 2007 #5 Posted February 19, 2007 Thanks Don , I knew I seen it on here before. Now something else to do. When does it end. LOL
awsmsrv Posted February 19, 2007 Author #6 Posted February 19, 2007 When does it end. LOL "End"? What does that mean? It just goes on & on & on.... :mo money:
BOO Posted February 20, 2007 #7 Posted February 20, 2007 Take a look at this thread. Wish I know who submitted it. Would like to give them credit. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1406 No I can't take credit for this one but I have used one like that for years. The bike I sold to Rick Sarges46 had the switch still on it but I took my opener out of the faring to use on the new bike but never got around to installing it on the current bike. I didn't read through his discussion but it's very easy to do. You just need an extra opener and a monetary switch and you're in business. Jerry
MikeM8560 Posted February 20, 2007 #8 Posted February 20, 2007 my garage opener had a small opener that fits on your key ring, easy access also.
Royal05Steve Posted February 20, 2007 #9 Posted February 20, 2007 Here is another idea from aguy on a Delphi forum" Ok guys, carrying your garage door opener around in your pocket! I did something a little different. See attached pics The most forward allen bolt on the frt. Rt. side cover does nothing, pull out, drill alittle bigger hole, install a push button garage door opener button: Push button switch is from Radio Shack item no.: 275-609 2-pack, one red switch & one black switch, Wire from switch to a garage door opener, glue the buttons so they cannot move, place the garage door opener in the side cover, fits in real nice. and wala, you have a push button garage door opener on the bike, in a very easy to access spot.
