Guest kimrpaige Posted May 11, 2008 Share #1 Posted May 11, 2008 Hello All, I recently bought a 1988 VR and I love it!! My problem is the headlight warning light is on with the lcd of course showing the headlight. I go to bright and the light goes to bright (new bulb) the warning goes away for a couple of seconds, then back on again. It's not a big deal as the headlight works perfect just annoying to be riding with the warning on all the time. When I changed the bulb all wiring looks fine. Where does the monitor get it's info from? Thanks in advance, Kim
Squeeze Posted May 11, 2008 Share #2 Posted May 11, 2008 It's Time for resoldering the CMS Board. Ccheck the Process out, it should be documented in the Tech Library.

Rocket Posted May 11, 2008 Share #4 Posted May 11, 2008 Thanks Squeeze, Don't want to sound stupid but what is the cms? monitor board? Also I looked in the library but could not find. Kim It is a similar fix as the CLASS controller fix, as it has the same problem COLD SOLDER JOINTS. I happen to have a copy of the CMS fix in pdf, that I had for my repair & will attach it here. Freebird can not put it into the library, as he doesn't have the authors permission. But that should not prevent someone, from doing up a new tech article writeup (with pics), that can be posted into the library.
