jfman Posted November 18, 2019 #1 Posted November 18, 2019 I lost the tiny clip that holds the rod going to the enrhichener mechanism on the right hand side fo the carbs for my bike. I cannot seem to find the part number for this clip on Yamaha diagrams. Anyone know the part number so I can order a new one?
MiCarl Posted November 18, 2019 #2 Posted November 18, 2019 I believe it's actually an E clip. When I needed one I went to an old timey auto parts store. They let me dig around in their box of loose clips until I found one that would work. Of course one that small will be at the very bottom of the box.......

I'd make sure yours is greater than 1.5mm https://www.amazon.com/WINGONEER-Stainless-Retaining-Circlip-Assortment/dp/B07C7YM9F3/ref=pd_ybh_a_4?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=RBVMHBD0G3VVVRTV9MMP Edited November 18, 2019 by SpencerPJ
luvmy40 Posted November 18, 2019 #4 Posted November 18, 2019 I picked up an assortment of small e clips from a local RC Race shop. The enricher rod uses one of the larger ones in that set.
jfman Posted November 19, 2019 Author #5 Posted November 19, 2019 So there is no OEM part number for this? I have to say I would rather overpay say 4$ for a clip from Yamaha than spend time hunting down a generic clip or buy a box of clips.
RDawson Posted November 19, 2019 #6 Posted November 19, 2019 It is a generic e-clip. Any good hardware store should have them for pennies.
MiCarl Posted November 19, 2019 #7 Posted November 19, 2019 So there is no OEM part number for this? Nope. You probably get it with part number 52.
Prairiehammer Posted November 19, 2019 #8 Posted November 19, 2019 In addition to the E-clip there should be a plastic bushing and plastic washer.
jfman Posted November 21, 2019 Author #9 Posted November 21, 2019 I found the clip on the floor today!
Prairiehammer Posted November 21, 2019 #10 Posted November 21, 2019 I found the clip on the floor today! I call them little E-clips "Geezus rings", as in "Geezus, where did that **xyz**ring (clip) GO?":big-grin-emoticon:
Prairiehammer Posted November 23, 2019 #11 Posted November 23, 2019 A "redneck repair" or "roadside resourcefulness", depending on your level of OCD.

I did something like that for my sailboat motor. Sometimes, ya just gotta improvise!
Pasta Burner Posted April 2, 2020 #13 Posted April 2, 2020 I lost one too trying to put that damned plastic cover back over the valve cover. Used an alligator clip until I can get to a store.
