Always wave and usually first. On divided highways in unpopulated areas I raise and open hand so it can be seen. I am a very friendly kind of guy on the road.

I notice there isnt nearly as much waving in California as the other states I've lived in. LA, VA, and MD its almost a crime not to wave but here its a meh thing.

Usually, and I find it interesting that I get the least response from riders of 1) crotch rockets, and 2) Goldwings.

Well you know how those Goldwing riders are. :twing:

Yes, but don't always get response from some HD riders. Waved to motocross riders one day, and one of them stood up on his pegs and gave a big over the head salute. :biker:

try to wave all time but sometimes it just isn't safe. got a guy that rides along sometimes just doesn't care one way or the other. try to be as friendly to others as much as possible, we're all in this together! :thumbsup2:

Anybody else waves at cops, even those in cars?

Being that we work with the cops at wrecks all the time I know most of the locals so it's built into a habit to wave at them. Not to mention my dad and two of my brothers retired from law enforcement.

Well, most of the kids on the crotch rockets are on their first bike with a learner's permit and the Wingers are all embarrassed that Beauty can beat them up and take their lunch money:stickpoke:

But, Yes I always toss a low wave to a fellow enthusiast. Harley, Hyabusa, or Scooter. Two wheels and a power plant are the only requirements.
