jeffblandford Posted September 6, 2019 #1 Posted September 6, 2019 My 1984 Venture air suspension quit working. I'm not getting a ground signal from the controller to the solenoids for the front and rear shocks. If i supply a ground the shocks will fill with air. I have checked the wiring from the controller to the compressor manifold and there good. I suspect its the air system controller. I can only find 1 on Ebay for a 87 1300 and its a different P/N than mine. (31M31119) Can anyone help. Text or reply to post Ph # 219-617-5563 Thanks Jeff B
CaseyJ955 Posted September 6, 2019 #2 Posted September 6, 2019 Any error codes displayed on the screen of the CLASS system? I think E3 and E4 are the common ones.
Prairiehammer Posted September 6, 2019 #3 Posted September 6, 2019 The CLASS controller is the same for all years. The 1987 Controller will work in your 1984.
Marcarl Posted September 6, 2019 #4 Posted September 6, 2019 You didn't say where you supplied the ground from or to.
Prairiehammer Posted September 6, 2019 #5 Posted September 6, 2019 But before dropping dollars on another 30 year old CLASS control, remove the board and with a magnifying glass check all the soldering on the PCB, especially at the harness connector. In fact, I would just resolder ALL the connector solder joints.

If it functions properly when running an external ground wire and ya didnt wanna fool around tracing connections,, cant you just ground it externally of the harness
